My Teaching Philosophy
I approach teaching with the attitude that I have an opportunity to make someone enjoy golf more. I do that by taking a realistic look at their goals, fundamentals & equipment. Because of my extensive work with both John Dahl (HG fitter & Golf Magazine top 100 instructor) & Randy Henry (HG founder),
I feel that I have a very diverse teaching ability. I highly stress a good grip & setup. I also like to inspect the student's present equipment & ask them what they are struggling with in their game and/or swing. I am of a strong belief that the teacher must know when to teach and when to club fit; since the golf club influences your motion. I like to use whatever aides will help the student, i.e., pictures, video or teaching aids. I always want the student to have a clear understanding of what we are working on and where we are going. It is my job to do what it takes to make them better.
I never like to teach without my HG fitting cart close by.
